I had so much fun meeting up with one of my favorite families a couple weekends ago. These two kids are so much fun to be around. I have photographed Colton's sister for almost 3 years now, and each and every time she is more and more intrigued by the camera. It looks as if she has been teaching her brother a couple of tricks because he has needed no warming up, his smiles were present from the first shot!
In my opinion "contrast" is one of the things that makes photography so beautiful. I had the pleasure of working with this great family a couple weeks ago, and it just so happened to be my first shoot with the new camera. It dawned on me very quickly during the shoot that there was a stunning contrast developing in the first few shots I captured. Here was this tiny little guy, seemingly wandering on his own, exploring a great big world where everything was... HUGE!
I'm the type of guy who really enjoys and appreciates each of the seasons we experience here in the Chicago area. But in my opinion, nothing beats the beauty of fall. I had such a great time with a number of great families over the past couple weekends and I wanted to share one last round of sneak peaks as I finish editing these beautiful sets of photos.
I had the privilege of photographing another great event for Kidsave Chicago. This time at Tivoli Bowl in Downer's Grove. It was a bit of a struggle working with a flash during a cosmic bowling event but I managed to get some great shots. This photo stood out to me as I was flipping through quickly. Something about it just seemed to capture the entire essence of a little kid bowling. The ball slowly rolling down the lane for what seems like 10 minutes, the kid never taking their eyes off it, and the anticipation of excitement as they wait to see the pins crash down.
