There are so many great things to say about Genna and Steve, but I'll keep this nice and simple and let you all get on to the photos. There is a special kind of electricity running through these two that is so incredibly evident when you are around them. It was an incredible day and I was truly honored to be a part of it. It's also important to note that this was one of the top 5 dance floors I have ever witnessed at a wedding.
You can find a number of blog posts featuring these two crazies, and my same sentiment still holds true. They are two of my favorite people in the whole world. The fun thing about this posts is you are seeing them in an element that they are not quite used to. A typical shoot for them has been grinding it out at Bucktown Fitness getting ready for a bodybuilding show, or grinding it out in a kitchen in the middle of the night for My Mighty Meals. But here they are, all dressed up and pretty, showing what true love really looks like. I think they cleaned up pretty nicely, don't you think?
The weather was far from cooperative for this engagement session yesterday, but thanks to the Boathouse in Humboldt Park we were able to make some magic happen.
There's really no words for how great this wedding was. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to meet new people. A couple weekends ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Rob and Christen for their engagement session out at Rock Cut State Park just outside of Rockford Illinois. I had known a little about this couple through our mutual friends Kris and Nora, but after our 2 and a half hour photo shoot, I really felt as if I had just added two new great friends to my life. The love and admiration these two had for each other really electrified the photo shoot and I could not have been happier with the results. I look forward to getting to know more about these two leading up to their wedding next Summer.
Despite the chilly weather, the fall colors are absolutely stunning right now in the Midwest. I was lucky to get outside with a fantastic family, and an incredible couple. Both these shoots were really inspiring to me and I wanted to share a picture from each. More will follow in the next week or so.
I've had the pleasure of knowing Erica for a long time and one thing has always been very evident, her love and admiration for Andy. I had the unfortunate pleasure of sitting near Erica at work, and had to listen to months of her trying to figure out when Andy was going to pop the question. Thankfully, for all parties involved, Andy proposed to Erica and we get to see this great couple grow old together. I wish nothing but happiness for years to come to this amazing couple.
A little rain couldn't stop this couple from having an amazing wedding day. The amount of love and laughter that filled their ballroom on their wedding night let me know that this couple has surrounded themselves with the best family and friends anyone could ever ask for. Congratulations to Laura and Anton!
Enough with the previews right? Here's some of my favorites from this entire set. Thanks Bryan and Cherise for the opportunity to photograph your beautiful family!
