This family just makes me soooooo happy! I have been so incredibly lucky in this journey to watch both of these kids grow up in front of my camera lens.
Such a beautiful time of year for Senior Portraits. Had a lot of fun working with Ema this afternoon. Enjoy this teaser for now, more to come soon!
Being able to, and quite honestly having the privilege, to watch this family grow up year after year makes what I do a dream come true.
Nothing makes me happier than having the chance to tell a family in the middle of a shoot... "Time for some funny faces!!"
Gina is a soon to be high school graduate from Crystal Lake South who is excited to be heading off the University of Iowa in the Fall. One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to meet new people and to learn new things. I like to consider myself a sports junkie, but this shoot allowed me to learn about a sport I knew very little about. Gina is a member of the Crystal Lake Rowing Club and was gracious enough to answer EVERY SINGLE ONE of my rowing questions, as silly or simple as they might have been. Enjoy the photos and be sure to leave a comment below wishing Gina good luck on her future endeavors!
Most of you will see this post and think, "Isn't this old?" The answer is yes. The answer is an embarrassing yes. I was doing a little clean up in my photo folders and realized I never submitted this blog post back in the fall. So here it is, a beautiful Autumn engagement photo shoot being posted in the middle of Spring!
On July 13th I had the great honor of photographing Caree & Ken's big day. Their wedding is one I will never forget. From the rainbow colored bridesmaid dresses, to their beautiful daughter Annabelle, and of course the super hero theme the guys were sporting under their formal wear. I am so thankful to have been a part of this night.
